After many delays we are back to the Mustang Project.

Working rust out of the beastie

You can see some of the rust discoloration near the front edge. Actually when the tank was finally unbolted there was not much left of the edges and the entire rear was gone.

Getting to the bolts, make getting them out to be half the problem.

Here is an "After repair" shot. The trunk is solid as hell now.

Here is a better shot of the new trunk

Front fenders resting quietly.

Spring removed, Upper control arm pulled. Good thing we decided to replace this panel because we found cracks all over the place. It actually looks like the previous HACK caused more cracks with crappy repair than he fixed.

A nice wide angle view of the entire area.

The battery box will be removed and battery relocated to the rear. The panel the battery box was attached to was also eaten away so while we are cutting and fixing we are going to replace the entire panel forward of the right shock tower.

Grinding and drilling spot welds.

Grinding and drilling some more. Man this bugger is trash.
